The subjects which you opt for B.Ed will be those in which you have interest and in which you want to go for in teaching. You can opt for English subject if you want to be a teacher or professor in that subject.

Hello Shweta, Yes, you are eligible for the assistant professor post only through UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the assistant professor in national universities and junior research fellowship award. The eligibility for the UGC NET exam is as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have the master's degree/ post-graduation degree with 55% marks through recognised university. Age Limit: There is no age limit for the junior research fellowship award while the candidates must be below 30 years old for the junior research fellowship (JRF). Yes, you can apply in premiere universities are AMU, BHU, DU, JMI, etc. Make sure, its 50 percent.

The University provides this course as Distance learning too.
For distance learning courses the forms for this shall commence from september onwards.
For full time courses, the form are available now and the last date is due 8th March 2018.

Candidates must have at least 50% marks in B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B. Th. In aggregate and in the subject concerned and/or in the Master's Degree in Science / Social Sciences / Humanities, Bachelor in Engineering & Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks. Hi Priyanka, You are not eligible to appear in UGC NET Eam 2018. The UGC NET Exam is conducted by CBSE on the behalf of UGC for the Assistant professor and junior research fellowship award. The eligibility to apply for the exam is post graduation degree with 55% marks from recognised university. However the last year candidates can also apply for the UGC NET Exam. The maximum age limit for the JRF is 30 years while there is no age limit for the assistant professor posts.
