Hello Shweta, Yes, you are eligible for the assistant professor post only through UGC NET Exam. The UGC NET Exam is conducted for the assistant professor in national universities and junior research fellowship award. The eligibility for the UGC NET exam is as follows:
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have the master's degree/ post-graduation degree with 55% marks through recognised university. Age Limit: There is no age limit for the junior research fellowship award while the candidates must be below 30 years old for the junior research fellowship (JRF). Candidates must have at least 50% marks in B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B. Th. In aggregate and in the subject concerned and/or in the Master's Degree in Science / Social Sciences / Humanities, Bachelor in Engineering & Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks. The candidate should have studied two school subjects at graduate/equivalent recognised Madarsa education level as main or subsidiary subjects. The candidates with recognised Madarsa degree/qualification may opt Arabic / Persian / Urdu / Theology as a Teaching subject. The Status (Internal / External) will only be determined on the basis of B.A. / B.Sc. / B.Com. / B. Th. Examination only.
