There are two patterns and the candidate need to attempt both the sections. Paper 1, will be for the general aptitude test of 100 marks and will contain 50 questions of 2 marks each. Paper 2 is devised to test the candidates on their knowledge of the subject of their choice.

It AIMS to ensure minimum standards for the entrants in teaching professions and research. The exam fee would be Rs 1,000 for General category, Rs 500 for SC category and Rs 250 for SC/ ST/ PwD.
