There is no such criteria (minimum JEE marks) for admission in to SASTRA university. SASTRA university has a separate procedure through stream 1 and stream 2 .
Stream 1
70 percent seats of every branch are filled through stream 1 based on 12 th percentage ( 75 percent after normalisation ) + JEE mains score ( 25 percent )
For example
12 th percentage - 88 (CBSE) and JEE mains score is 80 .
Normalised percentage of board would be as follows
88 * 100/98.6 = 89.25
(Assuming percentage of topper is 98.6 )
Now 89.25 * 0.75 + 80 * 0.25 =86.94
This is your final score . AIR (SASTRA) is prepared based on this final score . There is a chance AIR up to 4

For getting CSE at SASTRA one has to score above 95% in 12th and above 93 percentile in JEE Main. However you can get other engineering branches there. Since You Haven mentioned your category I am assuming that you are a general. In general category one have to score 50 percentile l for qualifying the JEE Main. Examination. You can apply for any stream. To get CSE in Sastra University your rank must be under 500 in stream 1 or 2. Though the cut-off rank varies every year, still you should have a rank under 500 to definitely get CSE in Sastra University. According to your percentile, your rank in JEE Main. Is going to be above 1,00,000.

Both are good. But according to branch, you can opt your choice. If u want to take CSE or IT or ICT then I can say SASTRA is best, because of the high placement opportunity. Nearly 80 companies will come every year. You will have a very good opportunity of getting a job with a high package. Companies like Microsoft, Paypal, TCS and many more will be available every year. SASTRA will provide hostel scholarship and merit scholarships of nearly 34k every year. The advantage SASTRA has is, being a deemed university, it can rapidly adapt to changing technologies. Syllabus is revised regularly (annually), with the feedback from the students
