No, B tech Graduates are not eligible for the UGC NET Exam. Eligibility Criteria: Students who have secured at least 55 percent marks in a Master's Degree or equivalent examination from universities or institutions recognised by UGC in Humanities and Social Science, Computer Science, Applications, Electronic Science, etc. Are eligible for the NET exam. The OBC belonging to non-creamy layer, SC, ST, and PWD category students who have secured at least 50 percent marks in a Master's degree or equivalent examination are eligible for the NET exam. Yes, you are, according to the UGC NET Eligibility Criteria, a candidate needs a minimum of 55 percent marks without rounding off in Master s Degree or equivalent examination from universities institutions recognised by UGC. However, the candidates belonging to SC ST OBC [non-creamy layer], PWD, Transgender category need a minimum of 50 percentage marks in master's degree or equivalent examination.

A candidate can appear in NET Exam only in the subject they have done post graduation. In your case you are eligible for only NET in History. So, if you want to appear for NET exam then according to eligibility you need to start your preparation in History.

Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. Yes, you can appear for NET exam as students who have done Masters from correspondence, are eligible for the UGC NET exam. It is not necessary to do a regular post graduation course. Its just you should have minimum 55% aggregate marks in Masters. Dear aspirant, Glad to meet you. The UGC NET Exam is hed twice a year and candidates who have completed the post graduation degree are allowed to apply for UGC NET Exam. Although, the final year candidates can also apply for the exam. Coming to your question, yes you can apply for UGC NET Exam in your final year of post graduation degree. The candidates need to compete their post graduation with in the two years from the result declaretion. You also need to fulfil the criteria of 50% aggregate marks in post graduation degree. Other is relaxation for the reserved category candidates.

For appearing in UGC NET you must be pursuing M.Sc. Or should have a master degree.

You are eligible for CSIR NAT NET in the last year of M.Sc. You can still apply after completion of M.Sc. The exam is being taken twice a year in January and July.

By completing CSIR NAT NET you can work as a research fellow or as an assistant professor. The starting salary would be around 32,000 for around two years and then for the three years it will be around INR 38,000. It is applicable in all government colleges and research centers.
