The history syllabus of the UGC NET exam consists of several topics that is, Indian History, Pre-History, Ancient History, Medieval Indian History and Modern India including the National Movement and post independent phase. The NTA UGC NET exam will be held in an online mode which is a computer based test. The exam will be MCQ based of three hours duration. Paper 1 is common for every students where as Paper 2 will be subject specific.

The NTA released the UGC NET 2025 exam schedule for the December session at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. On December 31 was the first exam in the first shift from 9 am to 12 pm. Subjects are listed below: 

  • Law
  • Social Work
  • Tourism Administration
  • Prakrit
  • Telugu
  • Spanish
  • Kashmiri

Yes. The NTA released the UGC NET 2026 June session exam schedule subject-wise at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. The detailed schedule is provided on this page.

The UGC NET 2026 Cut off for the June session will be released at ugcnet.nta.nic.in. It is the minimum qualifying marks required by the student to clear the exam. The Cutoff PDF will be released along with the result.

The NTA opened the UGC NET 2026 Application correction window on May 26. The last date to make correction was May 28, 2026. The Registration process was closed on May 24.

No. The authority has not released the UGC NET certificate for the December session 2025. The exam was conducted from December 31 to January 7, 2026.

The authority will release the UGC NET certificate on the official website at ugcnet.nta.nic.in and also on the e-certificate portal at ecertificate.nta.ac.in. Candidates can download it by using their login credentials including the application number and password or date of birth.

Visit at ugcnet.nta.nic.in.  Click on the link available for the answer key. Use application number and password or the application number and date of birth to open the link. Enter the application number, password/date of birth, and security pin (as shown on the screen). Click on Sign In and submit the Challenge Answer Key link. Select the correct answer option ID for the question ID for which the challenge needs to be made. Click on the 'Save Your Claims' button. Upload the supporting documents in a single PDF file to support your claim. Click on the 'Save Your Claims & Pay Fee' button. Pay INR 200 per question in the online mode
