Yes, GNIOT Group Of Institutions has been Approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India.) And henceforth holds the right of UGC Approval and offers Degrees granted by the UGC under Section 22 of the UGC Act, 1956 are recognised, subject to programme approval by the relevant SPCs, wherever applicable.

As per the information available of the official website of the University, Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University degree and post-graduate degree programmes are duly recognised and approved by the ' University Grant Commission (UGC)'. Apart from the MBA course, YCMOU all the architecture graduate and post-graduate programmes are also recognised and approved by the “ Council of Architecture (CoA)”.
