There are scholarship/free ship schemes of the state government that entitle almost 100 percent of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, OBC, or disabled students to get such help. Approximately 25 percent of the remaining students also get scholarships, free ship, financial assistance under various schemes such as.
1- UGC, ICSSR, ICPR fellowships.
2- Rajiv Gandhi PG/Ph.D. scholarships etc.

Yes, UPRTOU Allahabad is recognised by the Distance Education Council (DEC), National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and UGC Distance Education Bureau. Rajarshi Tandon Open University was established in 1999 and is located in Prayagraj (formerly Allahabad). UPRTOU Allahabad (now Prayagraj) offers over 127 UG, PG, Certificate, Diploma and PG Diploma courses. 1- Need-based scholarships: Provided to the students who are under the poverty lines.
Students who hail from the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or OBC quota are eligible for scholarships if they secure 75 percent in their higher secondary examination.
Students who hail from an economically low background are eligible for the CUK Karnataka scholarship by the university.
Students whose parent serves /has served in the military are eligible for a scholarship.
The university sponsors a scholarship under the sports quota and physically challenged students.
