For lateral entry, PULEET is conducted by the university for admission. UIET selects aspirants for ME/ M.Tech courses based on GATE score. Non-GATE candidates can also get admission based on their merit in the last qualifying exam.

UIET Chandigarh fee varies course-wise. Candidates are required to pay the course fee at the time of admission to confirm their seat. The total tuition fee for BE ranges between INR 4.3 Lacs and INR 6.2 lakh. The fee for ME is quite low than BE. It ranges between INR 62,800 and INR 1.4 lakh.
