According to unofficial sources, the University of Cambridge acceptance rate is between 18% - 21%. In short, getting into the University of Cambridge is extremely difficult. On average across all subjects, the university has itself stated that it usually receives six applications per place, but naturally, there is variation between courses. Students who are applying for undergraduate courses, need to apply through the UCAS portal. However, besides excellent scores in Class XII, students will need other additional qualifications such as College Board Advanced Placement Tests/ IIT JEE/ STEP/ Others. University of Cambridge admission requirements for postgraduate courses are:

• Minimum of a good upper second class (good 2:1) honours degree from a UK university or an equivalent standard from an overseas university; and

• Completion of, or intermission from any current training or education course.

Cambridge University English Language Requirements:

• IELTS Academic – Usually a minimum overall grade of 7.5, usually with 7.0 or above in each element

• TOEFL (IBT) – Usually a minimum overall score of 110, with 25 or above in each element
