The University of Denver looks forward to admitting students who are not just academically sound, but are diversely talented and find ways to contribute outside of academia, whether it’s through sports, the arts, community service, employment or student government. DU values extracurricular activities and what the students does outside school as much as value academic grades and scores. Overall, University of Denver's committee takes a holistic approach when it comes to admissions. The University of Denver acceptance rate is nearly 64%. Since 64 out of every 100 applicants manage to get enrolled in the university, DU can be considered to be a comparitively easier university to get into. However, students must not take it lightly and fulfill all the admission requirements; standardized test scores, English language requirements & relevant documents. The University of Denver offers two types of applications; Early Decision and Regular Decision. Students admitted during Early Decision rounds of admission receive an additional $5,000 merit aid award at the institution. Early Decision applicants enjoy stronger consideration for admission, and benefit from earlier admission and financial aid notifications.

International students must fulfill all the entry requirements listed below in order to secure an admission in the University of Denver.
Academic achievement:
- 4 years of English
- 3-4 years of mathematics (Calculus is recommended for students interested in Engineering, Computer Science, or Business)
- 3-4 years of Science with at least 2 in a lab setting
- 3-4 years of social studies

The University of Denver requires an English language proficiency score from all the overseas candidates during the time of application. However, students are generally exempted from the English proficiency test requirement if they have any of the following:
- Secondary/high school Diploma from a school where the language of instruction is English; OR
- A baccalaureate degree or higher from a formally-recognized/accredited university where the institution's sole language of instruction and examination is English; OR
