The rankings have been provided by THE (Times Higher Education) since the year 2004. The creation of these rankings is done to know and evaluate the university's performance on the global stage and provide a comprehensive ranking report for the students to make an informed higher education decision.
For the year 2025, University of East Anglia is ranked at #251 which are constant for the year 2024, however they improved significantly from the year 2023 as the ranking was #201.

It is one of the three most influential rankings of the world alongside Times Higher Education World University Rankings and QS World University Rankings.
Over 2,500 Universities are ranked by ARWU every year. In the overall ARWU ranking, University of East Anglia ranks at #201 in 2024, which is constant since the year 2022.

According to the brief comparison given below, the University of East Anglia ranks best after the University of Surrey, however both the universities follow a contradictory trend as the University of East Anglia rankings are declining over the years and for Surrey, these US world and News rankings are improving.

US World and News ranked University of East Anglia at rank #397, which is an improvement from the last year 2023, which was #330 in the Global Universities category. From the ranking data in hand, it can be inferred that the rankings for the University of East Anglia rankings are declining constantly since 2022.
