No since while priority is given to new entrants of the university, accommodation at NUI campus is still not guaranteed. Rather, all valid applicants get entered into the relevant lottery. New entrant international students will be entered into the lottery for international student accommodation.

Students studying at the University of Galway are eligible for a Student Leap Card using which they can enjoy a discount of 50% on commercial bus operators services. Besides this there are many bus routes throughout Galway and trains to surrounding areas. If none of the above appeals, students can alsi rent bikes through TFI bikes to get around.

No, the usage of CAO portal depends on the location of an Indian student. But if you stay in India only, you can make an application via the official wesbsite of the University of Galway. 

It is to be noted that if you use CAO portal for the UG application, you would have to pay the University of Galway application fee of EUR 45 but for direct application it is only EUR 35.

The University of Galway can be an awesome choice for international students who wish to get into in. As per an unofficial source, Galway has an impressive placement rate which is 96% for UG students and 94% for the PG ones within 6 months of graduation.

Also, Indian students enjoy the place as Galway University is located in an affordable place which offers an inclusive and very friendly environment.
