Yes, Indian students can apply with a Duolingo English Test (DET). This would require a minimum GPA of 110.
Other than DET, these applicants can also go for the English tests like IELTS, PTE and TOEFL too. Look at the minimum scores required -
- IELTS with a band of 6.5+ overall (with no section less than 5.5)
- PTE with 61+

The research programs have admissions going all year long at the University of Galway.
Although the applicants can apply for the Traditional PhD in the College of Arts, Celtic Studies and Social Sciences in the months of September and January only.
Students should try to complete and submit the application by mid-July and mid-November.

NUI Galway is based in Ireland which is known for modern healthcare standards and no particular vaccinations are recommended fo visitors. Moreover there is a Student Health Unit on the campus with doctor and nurse visits being free. It is staffed by 2 doctors and 2 nurses as well as a physiotherapist and a sports injuries therapist.
