The Univ of Bremen offers education free of cost for international students; however, they are required to pay a semester fee worth EUR 350 per semester.
It is the same case with the Univ of Hamburg, which only asks for a per-semester fee of around EUR 335
Thus, it can be said that Hamburg offers a more affordable education.

Yes, international students are allowed to work for a total of 120 hours or 240 half days in a year. Usually, the university allows students to work for more than 20 hours a week during the term. However, to work more than that, international students would need to pay for:

  • Their Health Insurance
  • Unemployment
  • Nursing Care Insurance
