At University of Leeds you will get enough time to work part time in various job role like in a cafe, resturant, as a teaching assistant in college itself, doing some freelancing etc. But to cover all expenses including tution fees it would not be sufficient as the UK student visa allows only 20 hours of work per week from an international student. Hence, it is necessary to keep sufficient amount of funds with you to cover the expenses.

University of Leeds in United Kingdom has  certain tution fees for the international students which is roughly around £ 16500 for most Bachelor courses while around £24500 for the Masters courses in health sciences, mathematics , communication,arts, design per annum during the 2025-26 session.The figures may vary depending upon the type of specialisation and additional subjects which a student opts out.

Studying at University of Leeds for an Indian student, the actual accomodation cost varies differently depending upon the type of accomodation like apartment, flat or hostel, or shared accommodation.Roughly it varies between £500 to £800 per month which is INR 55000 to 90000  monthly .Thus to reduce cost it is advisable to take hostels .

It depends on your living standards:

1)Accomadation: For University Halls of Residence, charges are from 400 euros to 700 euros depending upon choice 

For private accomodation, a one bed room flat will cost 600 euros to 800 euros per month.

2) For food it is around 115 Euros per week.

3) Transport costs are around 30euros per week.

4) Total cost will be around 1300 euros to 1500 euros.

Here is the list of english proficiency exams accepted by University of Leeds:

1) IELTS Academic (minimum overall score of 6)

2) TOEFL iBT (a total score of 74)

3) LanguageCert Academic (overall score of 65)

4) Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic (An overall score of 60)

These are the tests accepted by the university.

Here are the deadlines for submitting applications for Indian students at University of Leeds:

1) Ug programs:

UCAS courses should be applied before january 15th of each academic year. For Medicines and Dental programs, you have to apply before October 15th. 

2)PG programs:

You have to apply at least 6 months before the programme start date.

Yes,  on-campus accommodation in University of Leeds require advance booking. You have to book your hostel very early during the time of application especially for first-year and international students. First year and International students get high priority for hostel accomodation in University of Leeds. You have to apply for the hostels in March/April.

It can be little bit tough but you can easily get into if you are strong enough:

Acceptance rate is around 50-60% so it is easy but programs like MBA has lower acceptance rates.

For UG courses, You should have above minimum 90% in your 10+2 exams, a good english proficiency and some courses require entrance exams.
