Yes, Lucknow University BPharm lateral entry admission is completely entrance-based. The University of Lucknow BPharm admission is based on candidates' performance in the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) entrance test. For LU BPharm regular course, admission shall be made through AKTU counselling.

In the scenario, if two or more aspirants for the BPharm course at LU secure the same marks/ranks in the entrance examination, the university follows some rules for allocating the seat to deserving candidates, rules are:

  • The candidate, who has secured a higher percentage of marks in Class 12 or equivalent examination will be given preference.
  • If the marks secured in Class 12 or equivalent examination are the same in such cases first preference will be given to the candidate who has secured a higher percentage of marks at Class 10 or equivalent examination.

Both Lucknow University and Kanpur University are reputed institutions for pursuing BPharm However, the median package offered to BPharm students in 2023 at Kanpur University is INR 3.75 LPA. On the other hand, according to the 2023 placements statistics, Lucknow University provides a median package of INR 14.4 Lacs to its UG students.
