Yes, MIT is the #1 university in the world, per the latest Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) World Rankings 2026.
The institute has retained its throne, which it also held over the last 3 years, beating the likes of Imperial College London (#2) & Stanford University (#3) to the top spot.
