The University of Virginia acceptance rate is around 19%, which means out of 100 applications only 19 admitted. The high acceptance rate at UVA makes the admission highly competitive for international students. It is mandatory to have good academic profile and a qualifying GPA to get admission to the university. Students must meet the entry requirements and submit the admission application before the deadline.

No, there is no quota for admission at University of Virginia, around 2/3 admissions are proposed for in-state and 2/3 are for out of state students. However, majorly in-state admits go higher than out of state at UVA. The students are admitted to the university as long as they qualify the minimum eligibility criteria of the university. The students must follow the application deadlines to be selected to the university. Late applications are not considered by the UVA.

It is strongly discouraged by the University of Virginia that prospective applicants mail copies of their documents, even if they can be uploaded online on the application portal. Mailing documents causes delay in delivering decisions, hence, it is not feasible.

No, UVA does not have a set GPA for admitting students. University of Virginia believes in not setting a limit for GPA because it undermines the actual performance rating of a student.
