The University of Winnipeg has a remarkable placement rate for graduate employment. As per the Survey of Graduates conducted during the Fall of 2021, 87% of graduates reported being employed and 9% were not in the labour force. 60% of those not in the labour force are currently continuing their education. So, technically, the University of Winnipeg has a placement rate of 96%. Only 4% of the graduates of the University of Winnipeg were reported of being unemployed.

As per the Survey of Graduates done by the Prairie Research Associates during the Fall of 2021, the average salary of the students who graduated with an undergraduate degree in 2019, was CAD $53,591. The average salary of graduates of the University of Winnipeg increased by 4% in comparison to graduates’ salaries since 2017. This survey is completed every two years. When looking at employment outcomes, the University of Winnipeg graduates seem to have been only minimally affected by the pandemic.

International students must complete an application for admission into the University of Winnipeg. The Department of Admissions will then assign you a student number. International students need to submit only one application. Once the application form is filled out, international students are required to submit the following documents:

The President’s Scholarship for World Leaders of the University of Winnipeg is an award given to international students entering any of the university’s programs for the first time. The minimum eligibility for this scholarship is:

The University of Winnipeg offers a dynamic campus with diverse culture for international students. The university offers high-quality undergraduate and graduate programs some of which are unique in Western Canada such as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Rights and Master’s degree in Development Practice with a focus on Indigenous Development.
