Indeed, the PCS Prelims 2023 cutoff marks have been made public by the UPPSC. After the test, which took place on May 14, 2023, the results were made public on June 26, 2023. Category-specific cutoff scores were 120.55 for OBC, 113.25 for SC, and 104.25 for ST candidates, whereas the General category cutoff was 126.55. 4,047 applicants in all have qualified for the Mains exam, which was set for September 10 and 11, 2023.

The UPPSC Main admit card for 2024 has already been released. The UPPSC Mains exam is usually conducted a few months after the prelims. For this year, the Mains exam would likely be held in the later months of 2024, possibly November or December.

The candidates should note that the UPPSC PCS main exam is conducted in three exam centres only. These exam centres are
- Lucknow
- Prayagraj (Allahabad)
- Ghaziabad
Candidates can choose their exam center for the UPPSC main exam and can easily get such exam centre.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission mention the number of vacancies in the official notification. These number of UPPSC vacancies are tentative in nature and mostly increased till the final result is declared. The UPPSC released 220 vacancies in the official UPPSC 2024 notification.
The Commission does not provide the category-wise breakup of the UPPSC posts. The Commission send the details of UPPSC vacancies with the Detailed Application Form (DAF).

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission is the exam conducting body of the Uttar Pradesh Combined/Upper Subordinate Exam. This exam is popularly called as UPPCS exam by the candidates. The Commission is a Constitutional body mandated to conduct such exam. Hence, the UPPSC release the UPPCS notification every year to kick start the UPPCS recruitment process.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission mention the list of post/services in the official notification. The Commission also mentions the pay level against each post. Based on the pay level we can say Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) is the highest post of the UPPSC PCS exam. The other important ones are for SDM, SP, Registrar, BDO, BSA, Assistant Labour Commissioner and the likes. SDM are entitled for the promotion to Indian Administrative Service (IAS). The number of vacancies in UPPSC exams is inversely proportional to the cutoff marks. This means that an increase in the number of vacancies can reduce the cutoff marks, while a decrease in vacancies can increase the cutoff marks. The UPPSC PCS exam is conducted in three stages: prelims, mains, and interview, and the cutoff is released separately for each stage. The UPPSC PCS Prelims Cutoff 2024 is expected to be lower due to the increased number of vacancies, as per the UPPSC PCS Prelims Cutoff 2022. The UPPSC PCS Prelims Cutoff 2021 was also lower due to the increased number of vacancies.
