Rama University was established in 1996 under the Rama Group. Rama University Kanpur is approved by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh and UGC (University Grants Commission), and AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education). The university is recognised by DCI, INC, MCI, and BCI, and is accredited by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council). 

The Rama University Kanpur residential apartments are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. Rama University Kanpur has a big campus and is spread across more than 150 acre of land. Rama University Kanpur provides accommodation to various students on a first-come-first-served basis. 

The modes of Rama University Kanpur admission are online and offline. Admission to various postgraduate, PhD, and other courses is based on merit and scores of the entrance examination. At the undergraduate level, the college offers BSc, BTech, and various other programmes to students. BTech aspirants can choose up to seven specialisations. At the postgraduate level, the university offers MSc, MBA, and various other programmes to students. Rama University Kanpur also provides PhD and short-term courses to students.

IIIT Lucknow JEE Main Round 1 cutoff was released on June 30. As per the JEE Main 2023 cutoff list, BTech is Computer Science and Technology was the most competitite specialisations with a closing cutoff rank of 8694. However, comparing the latest year round 1 closing rank with the previous year cutoff ranks, IIIT Lucknow witnessed a fluctuating trend for the CSE specialisations. The courses include BTech, MTech, MBA (Digital Business), and MSc in AI & ML, Data Science, and Economics & Management. For admission to these courses, candidates need to clear the entrance exam and should also fulfil the eligibility criteria. The entrance exams accepted include JEE Main, GATE, CCMT, and CUET-PG.
