Yes offcourse you can live in PG . First you have search for the PG near the college vit chennai and you have taste the food of the PG and rules and the check the rooms of the PG it should be clean . And compare the price of the PG and college hostel if it is more cheaper choose PG if it is not much difference you can go with the college hostel

The fee structure for the various courses at VIT Chennai for the academic year 2024-25 are as follows:
B.Tech: around INR 1,95,000 a year, with a caution deposit of INR 3,000, which sums to INR 1,98,000 for the first year.
MBA: total fees around INR 3,51,500 for the first year
M.Tech: INR 1,60,000 to INR 2,90,000 depending on specialization
B.Sc. (Hons): Fees amount to around INR 1,38,000.
M.Sc.: It is around INR 60,000 to 80,000 as fee.

It's unlikely that you'll be able to get admission to the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at VIT Chennai or VIT Vellore with a rank of 51,000 in VITMEE:
VIT Chennai: In 2016, the closing rank for the CSE branch at VIT Chennai was 14,000.
VIT Vellore: The expected opening rank for a VITEEE 2025 score of 72–81 is 5,001, and the closing rank is 6,500.

No, to get admission into VIT Chennai MBA candidates have to either appear for entrance exams, such as CAT/ XAT/ GMAT/ NMAT/ MAT/ CMAT and ATMA. Candidates need to have completed their graduation with a minimum 60% aggregate.
Admission into the MBA at VIT Chennai takes place through personal interviews conducted as part of the selection process. Hence, there are no direct admissions into VIT Chennai and all admissions in the MBA programme take place through a series of selection rounds.

Yes, electives are introduced in the third and fourth semesters of the course. There are eight elective subjects a student has to choose in the last two semesters to complete the credits necessary for the course. Each group of electives gives eight credits.
Students of the MBA programme can use the electives to curate a master’s programme for them as they see fit and according to their goals. The electives give the students a chance to build their portfolio while studying at the university.
