Vidya College of Engineering

Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), located in Lucknow, is involved with the four-year B.Tech degree offered by Vidya College of Engineering (VCE), Meerut.  To be eligible, candidates must have completed their 10+2 education from a recognised board with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST) in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), without any grace marks in each subject.  Admission is mostly determined by merit, with applicants who have passed the Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) or JEE Main being given precedence.  For lateral entry into the second year, applicants must have a B.Sc. degree with mathematics as a subject or an engineering Diploma with at least 60% of the possible points.

Male and female students can stay in the on-campus hostel of Vidya College of Engineering (VCE) in Meerut.  The boys' hostel, named Ananda, comprises 250 rooms with a capacity to house 500 students on a twin-sharing basis.  Similarly, Suvarna, the ladies' dormitory, has 150 rooms that can house 300 female students.  In addition to having mattresses, tables, chairs, and wardrobes, both hostels offer Wi-Fi.  Students can eat on-site thanks to the dining halls in each dormitory.  The Dean of Students Affairs, Chief Warden, and Wardens oversee the management of the hostels, which keeps a safe and orderly atmosphere.

The Meerut-based Vidya College of Engineering (VCE) is a private, independently funded university.  Founded in 2006, it functions under the auspices of the Jain minority educational foundation known as the Vidya Bal Mandali Society.  The college has the approval of the Uttar Pradesh government and the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is associated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow.   Following the academic guidelines established by AKTU and the Board of Technical Education, Lucknow, VCE provides undergraduate and graduate programs in a range of engineering specialties.
