IELTS is not necessarily compulsory for obtaining a study visa for Europe. While many universities may require proof of English proficiency for admission, visa authorities often accept alternative tests like TOEFL or PTE.

Students are required to apply for a student visa to study at Camosun College after they receive the letter of acceptance from the college, to get the study permit as early as possible. The visa application processing generally takes up to 3 months to submit the responses. The visa application requires specific documents as per the country of origin of the applicant. No, the cost of a UK student visa does not change depending on the number of years of your studies in the UK. This means that the base amount, i.e. £524 remains just the same. However, IHS amounts keep increasing year by year. For example, IHS to be paid for 1 year is £1,035 and that for 2 years is £2,070, for 3 years is 3,105 and 5 years is £5,175.

Students must note that SEVIS fee is different from US student visa fee and both have to be paid separately. SEVIS fee is meant to support Student and Exchange Visitor Program. If you are applying for a student visa, then you need to pay the SEVIS fee. Applicants must hence, not confuse between the two - that is, SEVIS fee and student visa application fee. If the applicant is entering USA on these visas - F-1, F-3, M-1, M-3 or J-1 then they will have to pay both SEVIS and visa application fees.
