VIT Pune BTech course duration is four years, which consists of eight semesters. However, candidates can complete the BTech course in three years in the lateral-entry admission. Candidates are offered admission from the second semester onwards for the BTech lateral-entry course. The course duration is three years and has six semesters.

No, the institute doesn't accept the CUET for the entrance exam in the college, but they accept the Maharashtra Common Entrance Test and CET as the entrance exams in the institution. The addmission process is strictly followed by the students. The ACP process is conducted by the education ministry of Maharashtra and the students who qualify the process are further selected for the MHT.

The MCA program at Vishwakarma Institute of Technology will cease operations from September 2024 intake and thus admissions for MCA session 2024-26 are currently not available. During the previous admission cycles for MCA students at this institute enrolled a total of 60 candidates while exam entry scores ranged between 50 to 55 marks from a possible 100. Based on the information available lunch facilities are not available at the hostel in VIT Pune. The students need to adjust themselves by either eating at canteen of there college, eating at cafe or restaurants or getting packed food to their hostel for lunch on there own expense. The students need to cooperate by themselves for food facilities.

Both Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) and Indira Group of Institutes (IGI) in Pune have strong placement rates nevertheless there are some distinctions in terms of prospects and scope.
