VIT Vellore Courses

Vellore University courses are offered to students at UG, PG, and PhD levels in various streams such as Engineering, Management, Commerce, Science, Computer Applications, etc. At the UG level, VIT Vellore University offers BTech,  BSc, BCA,  BCom, BBA, and other courses to students. At the PG level, Vellore Institute of Technology courses include MBA,  MDes, MSW,  MCA and MTech,  MSc, and other courses for students. 

VIT Vellore offers BTech course to students at the UG level. It is offered for 4 years in several specialisations. To be eligible for BTech at VIT Vellore, candidates must be Class 12 passed with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology with at least 60% aggregate (50% aggregate for SC/ ST and others). 

VIT Vellore offers various courses to students at the UG, PG, and PhD levels. The university offers BTech programme to students at the UG level for 4 years. It is approved by AICTE and is offered in several specialisations. Some of the popular specialisations offered in BTech are Computer Science & Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Civil Engineering, Biotechnology, etc. 

VIT Vellore offers various courses to students at the UG and PG levels. The popular courses at VIT Vellore are BTech, MTech, and MBA programmes. These courses are offered for a duration of 4 and 2 years, respectively. VIT Vellore courses are offered in full-time mode in several specialisations.

It is true that VIT Vellore has M.Sc. Biotechnology. It is a 2-year full-time post graduate degree. Selection is done on the basis of results in qualifying undergraduate examination (B.Sc. in a related branch of biological sciences with 60 percent marks). VIT does not conduct a special entrance examination to shortlist candidates to M.Sc. in Biotechnology course; selection is outlined as being based on merit.

VIT Business School Vellore offers a BBA course that runs for a course duration of three years. The total tuition fee charged by the school ranges from INR 2.2 Lacs to INR 6.7 lakh. Other than this, the fee structure also includes a one-time fee of INR 2,000.

VIT Vellore has closed the application process for the VITREE exam. Vellore Institute of Technology Research Entrance Examination (VITREE) is conducted for admission to various Ph.D. /Direct Ph.D. and Ph.D.(Deep Technology) programmes in VIT group of Institutions. VITREE- January 2026 session intake was conducted on 7 December, 2025 in 25 cities across India. 

Candidates seeking admission to the VIT Business School PhD programme can apply for the VITREE exam. It is conducted by VIT Vellore. Moreover, the application fees to apply and appear for the exam is INR 1,200. This fee is nonrefundable. Moreover, students must note that the aforementioned fees is as per official sources.
