To participate in VITMEE counselling, students must meet following -
- Must have 60% or equivalent in their 10th/12th or diploma
- Must have qualified entrance test and have a valid scorecard
- Candidates with GATE scores are also eligible for admission
Vellore Institute of Technology will conduct VITMEE counselling online and is common for all VIT campuses.

Vellore Institute of Technology will release the VITMEE seat allotment result based on scores secured in VITMEE. Admissions to M.Tech courses are also done based on GATE score. Authorities will allot seats to candidates based on choices filled at time of choice filling.

VITMEE result will release online on official website. Candidates who have appeared for exam can check their result. VITMEE scorecard will have following details printed -
- Candidate name
- Roll number
- Date of Birth
- Registration number
- Category of candidate
- Overall marks obtained in exam
- Rank and candidate's qualifying status

Applicants can refer to the VITMEE 2025 admission process below.
The first step is to pay INR 1200 application fee in online mode.
Applicants should register for VITMEE, a Computer Based Objective test at indicated test centres.
The list of short-listed candidates will be published on the website or personal SMS will be sent to the registered mobile number for online VITMEE counselling.
Shortlisted Candidates will be asked to choose the preference of campus and branch. Selected candidates will have to pay an advance payment of INR 1 lakh.
