Admission to the Master of Management Studies (MMS) programme at VIVA Institute of Management and Research (VIVA IMR) is moderately competitive; candidates must have completed a bachelor's degree with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for Maharashtra state reserved category candidates); the selection process consists of shortlisting based on entrance exam scores, followed by a personal interview; the institute offers 90 seats annually for the MMS program; and although the admission process is structured, the availability of multiple entrance exam options and the moderate seat intake suggest that getting admitted is possible with a competitive score and preparation.

The Master of Management Studies (MMS) programme at VIVA Institute of Management and Research (VIMR) does not accept direct admission.  CAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, GMAT, XAT, MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, and other recognised entrance exams are used to determine admission, which is solely based on merit.  Candidate participation in the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE), Maharashtra's Centralized Admission Process (CAP) is mandatory.  The qualifying requirements and a valid entrance exam score are still required for seats at the institute level.  Without the necessary entrance exam results, there is therefore no option for direct admission.

If a female student is accepted through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) in accordance with Maharashtra government regulations, VIVA Institute of Management and Research (VIMR) will waive her tuition cost in full.  This programme supports female education in management studies and promotes gender diversity.  VIMR additionally offers a range of government scholarships to qualified students, such as the Rajarshri Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Fee Reimbursement Scheme, which offers partial fee waivers for Other Backward Classes (OBC) and full tuition fee reimbursement for students from Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST).  Through the Maharashtra State Benefits and Services (MahaDBT) portal, applicants can apply for these scholarships.  Certain academic and financial requirements must be fulfilled by students in order to be eligible.

Depending on the degree level, students must fulfill certain eligibility requirements in order to be admitted to VIVA Institute of Management and Research (VIMR).  Admission to undergraduate programs is often determined by merit, and students must have finished their 12th grade with at least 45% of the possible points (or 40% for restricted categories) from an accredited board.  Candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% of the possible points (45% for reserved categories) and have taken admission tests like the MAH-MBA/MMS-CET, CAT, CMAT, or others that the institute accepts in order to be considered for postgraduate programs like the Master of Management Studies (MMS).  Applications must be submitted online together with the required academic and entrance exam documentation. Admissions are handled through centralized procedures such as the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) Maharashtra's CAP rounds.
