The latest cutoff in M.E. VLSI Design at PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore is highly dependant on the number of students, their GATE score or other entrance examination score, and other reservations. Typically, one will find a candidate having the GATE score ranging 300-500 to be in contention for admission. Yet again, cutoffs do not repeat the same pattern for consecutive years as the scenario can change every year because of competition and seat availability. To become a VLSI design engineer :
First of all you have get a degree in (ECE) and learn the fundamentals like understand the digital foundations, semiconductor physics and software development.
Develop your skills like learn digital electronics, hardware description like (VDHL) and (verilog), computer architecture etc.
Build your portfolio and try gain as much as practical experience rather than the theoritical experience which gives you more advantage for you.
