No you can not get direct admission in VNIT Nagpur as the institute accepts students only on an entrance basis. You must appear for the accepted exam like JEE Mains, GATE, IIT JAM, etc. and then participate in the counselling process for seat allotment.

VNIT Nagpur, established in 1960, is one of the the oldest NITs in the country. All the programmes offered at VNIT Nagpur are approved by the UGC. VNIT Nagpur offers UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Engineering, Architecture, Science and Technology. Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology course admission is based on entrance exams, such as JEE Main, GATE, DASA UG, IIT JAM and NATA.

In Vnit With The perentile of 82.6 Percentile in JEE Mains The overall rank should be 2.5-3 Lakhs.
But the cut offs are not meeting with your percentile you must have to improove your rankings next time
1. Computer Science & Engineering closes around 600–1400
2. Electronics & Communication Engineering around 1500–1800
3. Electrical Engineering around 1800–2200
4. Mechanical Engineering around 2500–3000
Even Mining, Chemical, and Civil Engineering branch cutoffs remain in the 3000–4000+ range

No, it's not possible to get admission in VNIT Nagpur with 66 percentile in JEE Mains even if you belong to SC category and female quota because the VNITs cutoffs are very high and competitive. With this low percentile you can't even get lower popular branches at VNIT. It is advised to reach out to those colleges which offers admission on merit basis or with low cutoff in JEE Mains.
