In the WBCS Prelims Result 2024 (2023 session), the Commission selected 4,960 candidates for the WBCS main exam 2024 (2023 session). The West Bengal Public Service Commission passed around 10 times the number of candidates to the number of vacancies in the exam. Let us suppose that there are 300 vacancies in the WBCS exam, the West Bengal Public Service Commission selected around 3000 candidates for the main exam. For the interview stage, three times candidates of the number of vacancies were selected. For example, for 300 vacancies, the Commission selected around 900 candidates.
