XGMT exam is an online MCQ based test conducted for MBA admission. Candidates need to choose one correct option out of four answer options available in the XGMT exam. The marking scheme for XGMT exam is mentioned below:
- 3 marks are awarded for each correct answer marked by the candidate
- 1 mark is deducted for everty incorrect answers marked by the candidate

This means that candidates will have to be proficient in English language to understand and answer the questions. Additionally, all the answer options for the questions will also be in English medium. XGMT exam will have around 100 to 125 MCQ type questions to be answered within 120 minutes. Candidates must note that they will have an average of about 1.2 minutes to answer each question. However, It's important to note that the exact number of questions may vary across different shifts of the exam. The time allotted remains 120 minutes, that is two hours, to answer all the questions that appear in the admission test.

Candidates appearing for the XGMT exam will find four answer options for each question. Out of these answer options one option will be correct. Candidates marking the correct answer option will fetch (+)3 marks. On the contrary, if a candidate marks an incorrect response, he/she will have to face a penalty of 1 mark each incorrect response.
