Nothing to worry about it. CAT stands for Common Admission Test. It is for IIMs and tier 1 campus like Symbiosis, IITs, some private and autonomous campuses as well. If you prepare for CAT then you will go through logical reasoning, critical thinking, aptitude, general awareness, English comprehension, etc. The syllabus of CAT, XAT and MAT are somewhat similar. If you prepare for CAT, you will surely get qualified in MAT and XAT.

Look Mashun, as you have not appeared in the CAT and other entrance exams so you can give university's entrance exam and can get admission through this or you can get admission through management quota of the university.

Dear Vivek, I understand your perspective. The courses you have done will certainly add to your academic diversity, but from your final term you need to score minimum 55% so that you are eligible to sit for the entrance exam followed by GD/PI. As such, there is no advantage, besides being there for your knowledge, it will simply give you the foundation & boost your experience to push yourself in the next level. I wish you all the best for your career.

Dear Sandeep,
Thank you very much for your query. You cannot apply before exam as you won't be knowing the marks. Every college sets a specific benchmark for marks, hence you will be getting call from the colleges itself, so you need not worry. On the other hand, this is the high time to prepare for your GD/PI. Focus on the current aspects that is occurring in the present scenario.

You need to take at least one entrance exam to get admission in a reputed B-School. No college offers direct admission.
