Mystory@Joseph John Fernandes: How I selected my career

I was always a bright above-average student. I always worked hard towards achieving first class marks. I was studious and hard-working and dedicated towards my academics. That is why I was able to secure first class right from Standard I to X and from UG to PG, throughout my career.

The deciding factors in my life were my parents who always supported me to do well in my studies. If I am given a chance to do something different, I would tell my students to teach weaker students, as they would get the better of life later on.

How I chose my career

Yes, I have chosen the right option to teach students. It is the guru who diminishes the darkness in students’ lives and I am doing the same thing, because it was the guru, the teachers who lit the lamp of knowledge in my career-academic life. I did not take the matter of learning so seriously otherwise I would have got a rank in the class. My tips for career selection is work hard right from the start, focus and concentrate on your target.

I believe in 4 Bs - breaking barriers and building bridges.
