Non-Collegiate Womens Education Board
About the institution: By an amendment of the Delhi University Act in 1943, women students were enabled to take some university examinations with special coaching but without attending regular classes. This gave special shape to the Non-Collegiate Women's Education Board (NCWEB), which is now well established. The Board began functioning in September 1944 with three postgraduate students. Over the years, the number has greatly increased. NCWEB's primary goal is to educate women who are simultaneously pursuing employment to supplement their family incomes.
