To get admission to Electro Technical Officer (ETO) at AMET Chennai, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria, which includes:- Completing a four-year BE/B-Tech degree with a minimum of 50% marks in one of the following fields: Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication/Communication Engineering, or Electronics and Instrumentation, or an equivalent discipline.- Achieving at least 50% marks in English in either the 10th or 12th standard examinations.The course duration is 17 weeks of residential programme with 2 weeks exclusive safety practices training. The admission criteria for Pre-Sea GP Rating Course at AMET Chennai are:- 10th Standard pass from government recognized board with subjects English, Mathematics and Science with 40% aggregate. English 40% in 10th / 12th.- 12th Standard (any stream) pass from government recognized board with 40% aggregate. English 40% at 10th / 12th but with subjects English, Mathematics and Science at 10th.- Pass in 2 year ITI Course (Fitter / Machinist / Mechanic / Welder / Turner) approved by DVET / NCVT with minimum 40% aggregate marks in final year of ITI & minimum 40% in English in 10th / 12th.- Age Limit: Between 17 1/2 and 25 years (on commencement of course).
