The admission criteria for B.E. in Marine Engineering at AMET Chennai for reserved category students are:- Pass in 12th Standard examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%.- The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks in English language in 10th or 12th standard exam.- For SC/ST candidates, there will be a 5% relaxation in eligibility marks of PCM; however, it will not apply to English Marks.- Qualifying in IMU CET or IIT-JEE/any State-level Engineering Entrance Examination (minimum of 40 Percentile score) is mandatory for admission.- Age limit: Below 25 years at the time of commencement of the Programme, with relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for Non-creamy layer of Other Backward Classes (OBC) Category.- Physical Fitness: Candidates seeking admission to this Marine Engineering Programme must be medically fit including eye sight and hearing as prescribed in the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules, 2000, as amended.
