This new trend of Dual Degrees has been green-lighted by the UGC, which has introduced a ground-breaking policy enabling Indian students to enrol in dual degree programs, both within India and in collaboration with international universities. Under this framework, students must complete at least 30% of their course credits.

Hybrid careers are the future. If you aren’t the Jack of all trades and master of none, then there’s a tough road ahead. That’s why choosing the right course and strategising an international career trajectory matters. Dual degree holders draw 20–30% higher salaries than single-degree graduates. What’s more, 92% of dual degree graduates from premier institutions like Amity secure placements in MNCs or global startups, compared to 78% for single-degree holders.

How Dual Degrees Value-Add to Hybrid Jobs

According to a previous WEF report, jobs requiring tech and business, healthcare and management, or law and data privacy skills will grow by 25% by 2030. This clearly tips in favour of dual degree holders.

Dual degree graduates are three times more likely to secure international work visas owing to their cross-cultural and multidisciplinary training, say other reports.

Hybrid roles align with industry trends, and they resonate with dual degree holders whose skills are honed - like leadership, agility, collaboration, innovation- to meet the industry demands.

Understanding Dual Degree Programs
