Best medical college for new found freedom after NEET.
Placements: Im from batch 2022, MBBS placement in the medical field is less of a headache than other streams due to the doctor-per-patient ratio provided you opt for a PG degree. As an intern stipend is Rs. 15000, in PG and JRs get Rs. 60,000. It's one of the oldest and most reputed medical colleges in Punjab, having completed 100 years in 2020.
Infrastructure: Buildings need some development, the ones that are quite old but everything is available. We have Wi-Fi in hostel. Library is pretty nice. Hostels are pretty decent, now there's a new block built for boys which is much better so hostels would not be a problem. We have one the best grounds and sports, there's CISCO for indoor games and a well-made gymnasium. All the departments have good facilities, again I'll say they are a bit outdated but available.
Faculty: Its a professional degree, there is no spoon-feeding, you have to study on your own, some professors are very good, and everyone is available if you have doubts. The demand for doctors is never reducing, so the course relevance is very much there. We have informative exams and half-yearly exams but they are not counted in the report card, only the professional exams at the end of each year carry the whole weightage, those are tough yet manageable. You need to secure a minimum 40% in theory exams and 50% total in theory and practical.
Other: This college provides real college life, as it's a professional degree you have all the freedom no one is invigilating you, how much you want to study or not, it is in your hands teachers don't stress that on you.

It is a really great college with good faculty, excellent sports infrastructure, and food quality.
Placements: It is a very old college, so it has a great alumni network in the country and abroad too. Almost 100% of students get placed. A lot of students clear the USMLE exam from this college, and many of them get jobs after MBBS at good hospitals. There is always the option for private practice, and everyone's internship is done in the same hospital complex.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is a little old, so buildings are also old-fashioned, but facilities are up to the mark. There are both old and new hostels available, and the food quality in the mess is excellent. Two canteens are available on campus, and medical facilities are excellent too. It has sports grounds for football, cricket, basketball, volleyball, tennis, handball, and an indoor court for badminton. A swimming pool, gym, pool table, table tennis, and board games are also available at CISCO.
Faculty: Faculty members are excellent, very knowledgeable, and highly qualified. They provide great quality of learning. The new curriculum is taught, and standard education is provided. The best faculty in the state is present at the college. Exams are conducted regularly, and the exams are moderate to a bit difficult. About 85% of students pass without supply.
