The university offers more than 25 courses at UG, PG and PhD levels through 18 schools and four institutes. The courses are offered in multiple streams like Management, Engineering, Science, Architecture, etc. Apart from the regular courses, BIHER Online courses. Aspirants must complete Class 12 for UG courses and graduation for PG courses. MBBS, BBA, BTech, MBA and M.Tech are the top courses of the university.

Bharath University has been ranked 66th by NIRF ranking 2023 under University Category. Moreover, during Bharath University placements 2023, the highest and average package offered was INR 27 LPA and INR 4.5 LPA, respectively. The top recruiters such as Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Amazon, Tech Mahindra, etc. visited the campus for placements. The total fee of BTech ranges between INR 6 Lacs and INR 10 Lacs as per an unofficial source. Candidates who have applied for BTech (lateral entry) need to pay a total fee ranging between INR 2.40 Lacs and INR 5.40 Lacs as per an unofficial source. The fee might includes components other than the tuition fee. Candidates are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to BTech course will be based on BEEE score.  In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. Candidates can pay the application fee via any of the online payment mode. 

 BTech is a four-year course divided into eight semesters. BIHER offers BTech course in 16 specialisations, namely Aeronautical, Aerospace, Automobile, Civil, Biomedical, Mechanical, Industrial Biotechnology, Mechatronics Engineering, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for the BTech course. Candidates must pass Class 12 or its equivalent with at least 50% aggregate in PCM/ Biology for Bioengineering department. Apart from the regular four-year BTech course, Bharath Institute of Higher Education & Research provides lateral entry. BTech (LE) is also available in various specialisations, namely Civil Engineering, Computer Science Engineering, etc. However, one can also apply for lateral entry after completing the Diploma course.
