B.Tech. in Biomedical Engineering - Batch of 2024
3.2
2Placements4Infrastructure4Faculty2Crowd & Campus Life4Value for Money
Review of BIHER and their placements of 2024 for the B.Tech Medical Engineering stream.
Placements: As a Biomedical student studying in an engineering college, we haven't got many placements for our course, but we have a few companies like Accenture and Deloitte. But both of those companies took only women as their women's empowerment programme and left out men, which was very sad for us.
Infrastructure: Our college offers so good facilities for students who are very interested in actually studying, like a dedicated library for medical engineering students and a not so bad quality of Wi-Fi. Our classrooms are also spacious and well ventilated, so air can freely flow. As for the hostel rooms, they are better than outside hostels, but the Tamil Nadu food is not so good for Telugu state people.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are good at their job, but they have regional discrimination. I am from Hyderabad, studied at BIHER, and I am not treated equally with other Tamilians. Even in the final year project submission, they showed discrimination for Tamil students and non-Tamil students.

Decent infrastructure and facilities, average faculty, but placements are improving.
Placements: Maximum number of students placed in Bharath University per year is 60 to 70%. The highest salary package offered at Bharath University in Chennai is 27 LPA. This package was offered during the 2023 placement season. Top companies recruiting are Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Amazon, Wipro, and Tech Mahindra.
Infrastructure: College has Wi-Fi, but it is not accessible to students. There is a 1000 CC lab that is very clean and pleasant. The computers are working well, and every year new computers are placed. The overall quality is quite good.
Faculty: At Bharath University, teachers are very helpful and they are also encouraging students to study. The faculty is very well qualified and teaches according to the student’s understanding. In my college, we have 2 mids for 1 semester. The exams are conducted very strictly, and the pass percentage of this college is above 85% per year.
Other: In Bharath University, there are no events or fests yet, but they are now developing them, the maximum campus crowd is around 10,000 students, and the college also provides scholarships to students every year.

Good in studies but don't expect other things like sports cultural, etc.
Placements: The batch consists of 100 students and the fee structure varies according to the years; for us, it is 100,000 per year but for other batches, it increases. I don't know but internship is through our college hospital and average package may be 15000 to 20000.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is not much good but other facilities are available for example, labs, Wi-Fi, library, canteens, no culture, sports, etc. Lots of requirements is there. We will lose our sleep daily so be careful before joining into this course.
Faculty: Teachers are good at teaching skills as well as knowledge. The canteen has no culture program, sports, etc., and there are a lot of requirements to complete. We will lose sleep every day, so be careful before enrolling in this semester's course.
Other: Scholarship are not available and no cultural sports.

Review of Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER).
Placements: Placements in Bharath University are 93%. About 1000 students are placed who studied in this college. The highest package in this college is 10 LPA and the lowest package is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) is not very good and not very attractive. Hostel rooms are also not that much to use throughout college life. Lab facilities and lab schedules are neat and clean.
Faculty: Faculty members at the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) are somewhat helpful to students in terms of studying. Courses are somewhat easier as much compared to some engineering courses and other arts and science courses. Exams are of medium level.

It provides high-quality training and placements.

Infrastructure: There is a well-developed infrastructure and a peaceful environment in the classrooms. Wi-Fi, labs, and library facilities are also available in the department. There are separate hostels for both girls and boys with good quality food and high security along with the camera facilities.
Faculty: Our college has well-trained, friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable teachers. They provide a good quality of education to students. Semester exams are a little bit hard. The pass percentage is above 40%. They often make us visit the industries, labs, and research companies.

Last year it was difficult to get a job but now so many students are placed.
Placements: Almost 60% of students got placed in our course. The remaining students are placed off campus. The highest package is 25 LPA. The lowest package is 4 LPA. Top recruiters are Accenture, TCS, and Cognizant. Students didn't get internships. They offered some roles.
Infrastructure: The faculty teaches well, and our learning depends on how we study. We have great labs, classrooms, and a central library where we can find any book we need. The hostel food is average, but the medical facilities are good because there’s a hospital on campus, although we have to pay for it, but we do get some discounts.
Faculty: The teachers are clear in their teaching, and the course curriculum is relevant and easy to understand. The students are well-prepared for the industry. They become capable and best. Exams are based on our understanding. We can't tell it's tough if you understand the topic you can write the exams.
Other: Since I’ve taken the course, I have found it easy and interesting. However, I wish there were more lab hours for practice and more events at the college, as that's something I don't like.
