The University provides scholarships to students based on their prior academic records during admission and also based on their semester-wise performance during the course of their studies. For the BTech programme at CUTM Paralakhemundi, candidates who have studied under different boards of education are offered a predefined percentage of scholarship in their tuition fee. Starting from the second year, students are required to obtain a minimum of 8.0 CGPA in their semester exams along with a minimum of 80% attendance to continue receiving their scholarship. Too good to be true. The nature of the classes and the surroundings are just wow.
Placements: Nearly 50 percent of students get placed because it is a university and has various fields of study like agriculture, pharmacy, engineering, etc. The 54 LPA package for a fisheries student is the highest till now. Recruiting companies are TCS and Accenture. Companies like Amazon, TCS, and Infosys took a lot of students as interns. AI engineer, front-end developer, and full-stack developer are the roles offered, and many more to come.
Infrastructure: There are 24/7 Wi-Fi and well-managed labs, classes, and a library. The labs and the library have an AC facility and it's seen that all the students maintain discipline. The university also has a large playground and sports areas for different sports and also trains students for tournaments. NCC is also available which has a great value for a resume.
Faculty: Teachers have great knowledge in their particular course and always help us out in case of doubts. There is also a job readiness programme to help the students become industry-ready. 30 percent is the pass percentage. If we listen to the classes properly, exams are moderate.
Other: I am basically interested in software so I took this course. They provide systems and Wi-Fi access and teach us to learn many things. It would be better if we had more lab classes compared to theory classes. There are many events like department fests for every department, freshers, and farewell for every department and also Gajajjyoti for all the departments together is celebrated on stage. Last time we had Revanth the singer on stage.

I am totally satisfied with the course, placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: It is one of the best skills universities in India. After joining, we get a lot of hands-on experience in my course and execute all the practical-oriented learnings properly. Through our university, we got a chance to appear for placements and to work at KKR Aquatics. It is highly recommended for students who are looking for jobs just after their course completion.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi-enabled classrooms. It has live labs and a central library facility. There is a good hostel facility with both indoor and outdoor sports areas. There are annual sports meets and opportunities to attempt state and national-level sports events. Different mess facilities are available according to students' wishes, so they can have food there.
Faculty: Teachers are skillful and good at teaching and knowledge dissemination. The course curriculum is highly relevant in aquaculture and the seafood industry. Domain and skill courses are there to make students industry-ready. Exams are up to par with the national standard.

Our college gives the best education and skills.
Placements: I am currently in my 3rd year. My super seniors got normal jobs in companies. But still, our college management is trying to give the best jobs to the students. 40 percent of students were placed in my college. The highest package is 8 LPA, and the lowest package is 2 LPA.
Infrastructure: The best thing about my college is the hostel. They provide two different types of food, like northern and southern style food. I have tried both types of food, but North-style food is better than South-style. I can give 4 stars out of 5 stars to my college hostel facilities.
Faculty: The main thing is that some faculty members of our college behave badly because they don't respect students. But some faculty members encourage, motivate, and are friendly with us. Faculty members give very good marks in the examination and take the viva very strictly to give more confidence to the students.
Other: I have chosen B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering because in this technological generation, it is very useful for students. The best thing is that any student can easily crack a job in the course. I would like to improve my communication skills.

Colorful campus and opportunity to grow
Placements: I joined in September. In our class there are 60 students and many other sections. I have heard from seniors that the average package is around 3 to 4 LPA. Mostly small and midfirm companies are coming and intership is not so mandatory. It mostly will depend on our skills and our willingness to learn.
Infrastructure: Wi-fi is available and a full network. Computer labs are there for learning communication and presentation. Classrooms have AC and best seats to attend classes. I am not a hosteler but I have eaten once. I did not like it so much. Good enough to live. Sports facilities are the best. You can play basketball cricket tennis and coaches are there. A small hospital is there for small health issues.
Faculty: Teachers are well qualified. The more experienced teachers are the best as they are very knowledgeable and explain very nicely. The course curriculum is not up to date. Whatever has been taught in the previous years is what we are also learning. Semester exams are conducted strictly and pass percentage has been 90 percent.
Other: Events happen regularly. Every department hosts its own events and they are conducted with efficiency. Cultural events and a chance to express your art are provided. The best event is Gajajyoti event that happens every year for 3 to 4 days. The campus is colorful and skill courses are also available in various domains.

I'm dissatisfied with the placement cell in 2024-2025.
Placements: Less than 10% of students got placed. The highest package is around 8 LPA and the lowest is up to 2.5 LPA. Top recruiters are Cognizant, Dassault Systèmes, and TCS. Internships are mostly unpaid. The maximum students who get placed are for sales or marketing roles.
Infrastructure: College has good buildings and infrastructure, but class have no Wi-Fi facilities. There is a central library that has Wi-Fi support. There is a dispenser for first aid support. Facilities to play cricket, basketball, volleyball, and football are available. Hostel rooms are decent, but the mess food is not worth it.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified, but most of the time they assign only assignments and written work rather than giving real knowledge about the course. Teaching quality is decent, I would say. Course quality is good compared to other colleges. Semester exams are easy to medium level. 6.5 CGPA is a passing mark.
Other: Courses for ECE branch are good but the college should focus on more real-world related projects rather than only on written assignments. College should focus on AI/ML cources. Scholarships are given for 1 year only after the college halt is without any reason. Fest on campus is celebrated every year.
