Reservation of seats at DAVV shall be as per AICTE approval and University rules. Number of seats may be changed as per AICTE/University criteria. The seat reservation percentage is given below:
- SC (Scheduled Caste): 16%
- ST (Scheduled Tribe): 20%
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 14%
- EWS (Economically Weaker Section): 10%
- Female Candidates: 30% compartmentalised horizontal reservation across all categories
- PwD (Persons with Disabilities): 5%

- The reservation benefit will only be available to the residents of Madhya Pradesh as per the rules laid down by the state government.
- A horizontal reservation of 30 percent of the total seats will be for female applicants.
- To avail benefit of reservation, a certificate from a Competent Authority should be produced.
- The candidate (applicant) must indicate explicitly the category for which he/ she wishes to avail the advantage of reservation for admission. This option will, in no case, be allowed to be changed.
- If reserved seats remain vacant, the seats will be converted to unreserved category.
- DAVV employee ward quota: Admission for wards of the University employees will be made as per the notification issued by the University. These admissions will be “over and above” with respect to total number of seats available in the concerned programme.

Direct admissions in the course are not possible. The university accepts CUET UG scores for admissions in BCom. Thus, all applicants have to appear for the exam. It is compulsory to have a valid entrance score to participate in the counselling process.
To apply for admissions, students have to register for the entrance exam first (if applicable). In some courses, students can take direct merit based admissions. In both cases, students have to apply for the counselling process on official university website. The university releases merit list. Selected students may have to pay some fees to confirm admissions.
Various core and additional subjects are a part of curriculum. The course is divided in six or eight semesters. Students may get a choice to select their additional subjects in each semester. The core subjects include Financial Accounting, Business Mathematics, etc.
More than 10 BSc courses are offered by university. Students can check eligibility and selection criteria before applying for admissions. The seats are allocated on the basis of merit/entrance scores. Candidates can apply for counselling on official website.
