Q:   What is the fees for UG courses at RPCAU, Bihar?
A:

Hello Nishar Ahmed, this famous agricultural institution is a central university, and as such fees charged are quite low when compared with any other private institutions. It charges almost INR 61,000 per semester for engineering courses and INR 36,000 for all other undergraduate courses. Being a government entity everything charged is with transparent and is known to the students even before they take admission as it is displayed in a downloadable PDF format on its website. What is stated above is the total of different types of fees but it's exclusive of hostel charges. For anyone interested in knowing the details, I would recommend that this PDF file be downloaded and read in comfort.

Best wishes to you.

My college is very satisfying because of the supportive teaching staff, with a good placement figure
Placements: At the College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology, Pusa, the total strength of students is 44. From these, approximately 10 to 12 students are placed, therefore, 30-40% of students are placed. The highest package is 12 LPA, the lowest is 6.50 LPA, and the average is 3.50 LPA. Top recruiters are Pradhan, TAFE, Mahindra, etc. A maximum number of students get internships in different companies.
Infrastructure: At RPCAU, all the facilities that are required for students are present, like the sports complex, a central university library, a shopping complex, and a library having 5G Wi-Fi services. The classrooms are fully digital and 5G enabled labs. For performing practicals, 6 to 7 workshops are available. The most beautiful is our hostel, it is a 400 bed hostel, which is complete with all advanced facilities like Wi-Fi, CCTV, and well clean. The mess provides quality food for a fee of Rs. 3,000. University facilities that open 24/7. In the case of sports, something is missing, so I hope that after some years it will improve.
Faculty: The teachers of our college are very intelligent, highly qualified, and authors of many books. One of the best things is the teaching skills of their knowledge related to farm machinery and agriculture, so this course is relevant. In our course of 4 years, there are 3 industrial training programs of 1, 2, and 3 months, due to this, students are ready to work in industry. The semester exam is something difficult, having 50 marks in fill in the blanks and true or false. The whole semester, out of 100 marks, we get 55 marks and we pass the exams.
Other: I come from a farming background, and I have some interest in farm machinery, so I chose this course. The course is full of practical knowledge, which includes a training program, industrial visits, and project work. In my course, we study the subject of Civil Engineering, so I suggest reducing the subject related to the civil department. In our university, no event or fest is organized, but our university is the best from a study point of view, and there is no disturbance in academics. The campus is well-maintained, with greenery. Connectivity is not an issue, as Samastipur Railway Station is just 25 km away. For other state students, ICAR gives the NTS scholarship of Rs. 3,000 per month. Extracurricular activities involve sports and debate competitions.

The college is best for studies, and teachers are well-educated.
Placements: About 40% of students get placed through college placements. The highest package offered is around 8 LPA, while the lowest is 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TAFE Tractors and Pradhan. Around 40% of the placed students secure jobs at Pradhan, while approximately 60% get placed at TAFE Tractors.
Infrastructure: The college has smart classrooms, a lecture theatre, virtual classrooms, computer labs, and a workshop for tractor and engineering work. All these facilities are available on campus. In the hostel, the food quality is average, and medical facilities are also provided. The hostel has Wi-Fi along with many other facilities are available.
Faculty: Teachers have well knowledge in their respective fields and are very helpful. They support students with both personal and academic issues as much as they can. The course curriculum is highly relevant to practical work and helps students get better knowledge. Semester exams depend on the students. If they are hardworking, exams are not tough. Around 98% of students pass the exams easily.
Other: I am interested in agricultural machines, which is why I chose this course. The best thing about this course is that it helps us understand the working principles of farm machinery and the problems faced by farmers. If someone wants to join the college for campus life, this may not be the right choice. However, for those who want to focus on studying, it is the best choice.

Review of College of Fisheries, Dholi.
Placements: There are no such big placements in the college. Small semi-government companies and NGOs come for placement on campus. The package is also very less. It offers a 2.5 LPA package for freshers, and only one or two students from my college get placed on campus.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are good for this course. There is a specific lab for each department, and the library is air-conditioned. The hostel facilities are also good, and it offers Wi-Fi facility for students. Sometimes Wi-Fi doesn't work, and we face difficulties in some things, but overall it's fine.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, supportive, and friendly to students. They are knowledgeable and hold good positions in the university. The semester exams are moderate, neither too tough nor too easy. If students work hard, they will get good marks in the examination.
Other: The campus life is okay. I chose this course because this is a central agricultural university, and I am interested in the agricultural sector. The campus life can be improved by organizing some good events and fests in college. There are no such events and fests.

Review of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Central Agricultural University.
Placements: I am currently pursuing a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering. It contains around 37 students, but the capacity is 44. Talking about placements, students often go for higher studies through GATE or CAT, but, there are placements. Companies like TAFE, Mahindra, Dehat, etc., come to our campus, offering an average package of around 3.5-4 LPA. The highest package is around 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best, according to Agricultural University. There is a library called the University Library, which contains around 4 lakh books. The Wi-Fi speed is excellent. There are gardens like Saraswati Garden, Biodiversity Park, Titli Park, T3 Park, and River Front. There is also a sports complex offering different sports like badminton, table tennis, volleyball, cricket, etc. The hostel is the best, and every basic facility is available there. There is also a university hospital for any medical emergency.
Faculty: Here, faculty members are well qualified. They are mostly Ph.D. holders from top institutions like IITs, IARIs, etc. They are very helpful. Talking about the course, it is currently emerging and has a very vast future. The course is designed in such a way that students are automatically ready for agriculture with incorporated technology. Semester exams are not that tough. There are two exams they are Mid and End. The Mid exam is of 30 marks, and the End exam is of 50 marks.
Other: The best things about this university are its garden and its hostel. They are very affordable. There is also a winter fest in our college called VRISTI. There is the Kisan Mela. Every year, different types of festivals are celebrated in our university. There are always different kinds of workshops happening. Talking about scholarships, ICAR provides NTS, which is Rs.3000 per month for UG students, but you have to maintain a minimum of 7 CGPA.

Placements are not up to the mark, but infrastructure is quite good.
Placements: There is no placement for biotechnology in our college. Although other courses provide placement, about 60-80% of students are placed each year. Infosys, Reliance, etc., are top recruiters. Education is good in terms of both theory and practical. They provide educational tours after the 2nd year.
Infrastructure: There is a Wi-Fi connection in the library and in the hostel too. Different types of labs are present, like microbiology labs, plant tissue culture labs, etc. The library is well maintained with a variety of books. You can issue a book for 14 days. Classrooms have smart boards. Seminar rooms and smart rooms are also present.
Faculty: Yeah, teachers are well educated and qualified. They are helpful too. You can ask for doubts regarding any subject to the respected teachers. 75 percent attendance is also compulsory. Semester exams are not that tough; they are moderate. You can pass exams by studying before the exam. The passing CGPA is above 5.
Other: During the first month, Deekshaarambh takes place. There are extracurricular activities like sports, poster making, debate, blood camps, plantation, etc. A scholarship of 3000/- Rs is provided every month to the UG courses.

College of Fisheries Dholi.
Placements: There are no significant placements offered in my course by the college. Some private or semi-government companies come for placements, like Jeevika and the World Bank. The average package is 1.2 lacs to 3.6 lacs per annum initially. Most of the students prefer higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good for students. The library is air-conditioned. Classrooms are also good, with podiums for studying. Wi-Fi is available for study purposes only, for college students and staff. Unique IDs and passwords are provided for everyone to access the Wi-Fi. Sports events are held every year, both inter-college and intra-college. Medical facilities are average because the college is situated in a remote area.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, supportive, friendly, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant. Every year, 10 to 15 students get AIR ranks in the JRF in two digits. The AIR 1 rank has been secured by a student from this college for the last three years. Semester exams are not very difficult but not very easy either; the difficulty level is moderate, based on the syllabus. The pass percentage is more than 80%.
Other: I chose this course because I am interested in marine creatures. The best thing about the course is that it gives detailed information about creatures, from tiny worms to sharks and dolphins. It teaches how to culture and manage different aquatic organisms, including plants and animals.
