Dayananda Sagar University offers BDes as a 4 year UG level programme. Admission to this programme is offered on the basis of merit and would require candidates to secure a minimum aggregate of 50% in Class 12. In addition to this, candidates must secure valid scores in institution level exams. The total tuition fees of the respective course is INR 8.2 Lacs and is tend to offer good placement opportunities right after graduation.

DSAT or Dayananda Sagar Scholarship Admission test is conducted by DSU for admission to some of the courses. DSAT is a home-based proctored test and students can take up the test from any remote location online. DSAT has multiple-choice questions. DSAT score is applicable for BPharm, MTech, BSc Nursing, BA LLB, BBA LLB and LLB programmes. 

Dayananda Sagar University has anti-ragging cell. The ragging cell is responsible from preventing ragging, monitoring activities and addressing complaints through various means by filling a form copmplaint to the commity.

Candidates can choose specialisations in the fourth semester of the course. The university conducts DSUMAT or accepts national-level Management entrance exams for admission to MBA courses. Direct admission based on entrance exam score is also offered.
