Dayananda Sagar University Course Admission 2025: Application, Fee, Eligibility & Selection

Dayananda Sagar University offers more than 20 courses at UG and PG levels through seven schools. The top courses includes, MBBA, BTech, MBA, MSc, etc. DSU Bangalore admissions are primarily entrance-based. The university conducts DSAT for admission to various UG and PG programmes. Direct admission is also offered based on national-level entrance exam scores. 

Candidates who have completed Class 12, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with at least 50% aggregate to apply for DSU Bangalore BCA programme. Aspirants must hold the documents proving their eligibility for verification at the time of admission.

DSAT exam can be taken both Online as well as Offline, you are free to choose your preferred mode of Exam.The online DSAT exam can be taken at the convenience of your home.You will receive an email with the required DSAT exam link, you can take the exam using the link which will be shared with you one day prior to the DSAT exam.The Offline DSAT exam will be conducted in Dayananda Sagar University, Innovation Campus, Hosur Main Road, Kudlu Gate, Bengaluru. 

Candidates can seek admission at Dayananda Sagar University or DSU by applying for the admission process through the official website. Candidates must also apply for the respective entrance exams accepted by DSU. The University considers merit based eligibility, considering Class 12 aggregate or graduation aggregate along with the valid entrance exam scores. After applying for candidature, candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit results. Post selection, candidates must appear for counselling and official document verification for the final seat allotment.

Once the selection process is over, the university allots seats to the candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. Selected aspirants are required to pay the DSU fee to confirm their seat in the university.

Yes, Dayananda Sagar University offers MBA admission through Karnataka PGCET. Seats in DSU will be allotted only for the students whose PGCET rank is below 5000. Once the aspirants are shortlisted based on Karnataka PGCET, they are directly allotted seat in the MBA course of the university.

Apart from PGCET, candidates can take direct admission through CAT, MAT or GMAT score. Aspirants can also take admission by appearing for Dayananda Sagar University Management Aptitude Test.

DSU Bangalore offers admission to MBBS based on the rank obtained in the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET).  The seat allotment process happens by merit through Centralised Common Counselling by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Selected candidates must report to the institution allotted to the candidate and complete all admission formalities within a stipulated timeline as put in by the institution.

For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranged from 29314 to 38529, wherein B.Tech in Robotics and AI was the most popular course specialisation for admission. Students should keep in mind that this is the cutoff for the Genera AI category; other rounds, categories, courses, etc., will have different cutoffs accordingly. 

The DSU KCET cutoff 2025 was released for admission to the BTech courses for all rounds and categories under the All India and Home State quota. 

For the General AI category, the last round cutoff ranged from 24798 to 121064.5, wherein the most competitive course for admission was B.Tech. in Aerospace Engineering.

The hostel accommodation fees at DSU (Dayananda Sagar University) vary depending on the type of hostel and occupancy. For the DSU Girls Hostel with 3 occupancy, the fee is set at INR 1,20,000, along with a messing (food) fee of INR 80,000 and additional charges for laundry and a refundable hostel security deposit. The total payable per student in this case amounts to INR 2,17,500. Similarly, for the DSU Girls Hostel with 4 occupancy and the Private Boys Hostel "S Residences" with 4 occupancy, the total payable per student is INR 1,87,500. For girl students at the Nursing Hostel, the fee is lower, with INR 50,000 for 4 occupancy and INR 35,000 for 6 occupancy. In all cases, there are fixed and non-refundable components for hostel accommodation, messing (food) fees, laundry charges, and a refundable hostel security deposit.

DSAT (Dayananda Sagar Admission Test) is held by the college itself for applicants who wish to pursue UG and PG degrees in Engineering, Management, Pharmacy, etc. for admission to Dayananda Sagar University. Dayananda Sagar University BTech in Computer Science and Engineering is a four-year programme. The University offers the UG-level programme in the full-time mode. Admission to a BTech in CSE at DSU is entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission must appear for one of the accepted entrance exams, followed by the counselling process for seat allocation. The accepted entrance exams include COMEDK UGCET, KCET, and JEE Mains.

Further, aspirants must also meet the eligibility criteria specified by the university. They must have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% in Class 12/ PUC. The qualifying exam must have been passed with Physics and Maths as compulsory subjects, along with any one of Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Technical Vocational subjects.
