Gautam Buddha University Noida admissions usually begin in April. Generally, the university's admission process includes application, merit list release, counselling, and admission fee payment. Candidates must start by applying for the course of their choice.
Getting admission in GBU is moderately easy due to multiple admission pathways. Students have an option to get direct admission based on their merit in most of the UG and PG courses. Aspirants can also apply with their CUET-UG/ CUET-PG scores.

GBU Application Process 2026
Students can apply online at the GBU admission portal with documents and application fees. Aspirants have to pay INR 1,500 for General to apply for a course (INR 750 for SC/ ST candidates belonging to UP).
Entrance Exam and Selection Rounds
Once the registration process is over, the university evaluates the applications of the candidates. The university conducts Gautam Buddha University Entrance Test or GBU-ET in offline mode for admission in MBA, PhD, LLM, BSc Clinical Psychologya and MSc Nuclear Medicine courses. The university releases the results of GBU-ET online.
National or state-level entrance exams such as GATE, CLAT, JEE Main, etc. are also accepted for a few courses. Direct admissions are also offered based on merit for most of the programmes, including BA, MA, MSc, MTech, etc.
Counselling
The university calls the selected candidates for counselling. Aspirants can check the notice on the university's website. Selected aspirants receive a provisional admission letter.
Note: The university conducts special admission drive for seat under reserved category (SC, ST, OBC, EWS) that are lying vacant in various courses. The registration window for the same opens online.
Admission Confirmation
Selected candidates need to come for document verification. Aspirants need to bring the specified documents for verification. After the final selection is done, candidates need to pay the GBU fees to confirm their seats at the university.

Gautam Buddha University Fee Refund Policy
The fee waiver for SC/ ST aspirants is as per Uttar Pradesh Government norms/ rules. In case of volutary withdrawal, below refund guidelines are applied:
- Academic fees is refunded in case of withdrawal from programme of study in which he/ she is enrolled as per UGC norms
- Security deposit is refunded in full
- Once hostel is allotted, hostel fee for the semester is not refunded
- Mess fee is refunded to students on pro-rata basis
- The last date of admission is as mentioned in provisional admission letter
Gautam Buddha University Relaxation Policy
The university offers reservation and relaxation policy as per UP Government and GBU rules. The university provides relaxation of 5% marks in entrance exam/ qualifying exam for SC/ ST/ OBC-NCL/ Differently-Abled/ EWS category aspirants.
5% relaxation is provided to sports person who have participated in national or international level events.

Gautam Buddha University offers two-year MBA programme divided into four semesters. The university offers MBA in Business Analytics & Data Science and General. In MBA Dual Specialisation, aspirants have to choose a specialisation from Finance, Marketing, Operations, Business Analytics and Human Resource Management. Academic fee shall be refunded in case of withdrawal of admission from the course of study in which he/ she is enrolled as per the UGC norms. Gautam Buddha University shall refund the security deposit in full. Once the hostel is allotted, then the hostel fee for the semester shall not be refunded in case of admission withdrawal.
For MBA admission, candidates must have graduated in any discipline with 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ ST). In addition to this, they must have appeared in one of the entrance exams among GBU-ET/ CAT/ MAT/ GMAT/ CMAT/ XAT. The total course fee for the MBA programme is INR 4.15 lakh. Admissions 2023 to MBA are open. Interested candidates can apply through the official website.
The candidate have to complete class 12 with 45% aggregate in any stream from School/College for General category. Apart from this, 42% for OBC (Non-creamy layer), (40% for SC/ST) or equivalent grade and as per BCI rules. Similarly, the aspirants awaiting results of the qualifying examination can appear for the test on the condition that they have to provide proof of having passed the qualifying examination with the prescribed marks before or at the time of counseling.The three year diploma/polytechnic course issued by an institution recognised by the Government shall be considered at par with +2 certificate for the purpose of admission to the 5 year integrated LL.B. Degree Course.
