Gautam Buddha University shortlists candidates for most of the courses based on GBU-ET. It is a university entrance exam conducted for admission to MBA, BTech, PhD, etc. National or state-level entrance exams such as GATE, CLAT, JEE Main, etc. are also accepted for a few courses. For courses such as BA, MA, MSc, MTech, etc., the admissions are based on merit in the last qualifying exam.
Gautam Buddha University offers more than 40 programmes at UG, PG and doctoral levels. The university offers courses under various streams such as Engineering, Business Administration, Computer Applications, etc. Candidates who have completed Class 12 can apply for UG courses, For PG programmes, aspirants need to complete a minimum of graduation.
In order to apply for courses at Gautam Buddha University, the candidates have to meet the last educational qualification as per course requirement. However, for few of a courses the university conducts it's own entrance exam, GBU-ET. The syllabus for GBU-ET varies course-wise. Any candidate with good academic background and preparation can easily get into GBU Noida.
The university offers various courses and each course percentage requirement vary. However, GBU admission in all UG, PG and doctoral courses is based on the GBU entrance test performance. However, candidates holding national-level test scores are also considered for admission, only if the seats remain vacant after GBU-ET.

Yes, Gautam Buddha University provides fee waiver to meritorious students as per the below criteria:

The exam fee for BTech CSE with Machine Learning, IT, Integrated BTech and M.Tech is INR 1,500, respectively. However, the academic fee components differs as per course specialisations. Students can check the table below to know the few of a popular course fees:

Academic fee shall be refunded in case of withdrawal of admission from the course of study in which he/ she is enrolled as per the UGC norms. Gautam Buddha University shall refund the security deposit in full. Once the hostel is allotted, then the hostel fee for the semester shall not be refunded in case of admission withdrawal.
Candidates need to pay an application fee to register for any of the Gautam Buddha University courses. Aspirants can pay the application fee via any of the online payment modes. Below is the GBU Noida application fee:
