Established in 2005, Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU) is a state-level university located in Ludhiana. The University is entirely dedicated to the field of Animal Sciences and is a part of Panjab University. GADVASU offers eight courses in multiple specialisations at UG, PG and doctoral level.
GADVASU Admission Process 2025: Fast Facts
GADVASU admission cycle commences in May for all its courses. A brief overview of the selection process for GADVASU courses is listed below:
- Selection of candidates to all the UG courses is based on the CET GADVASU score, conducted by the University
- Admission to GADVASU PG programme is based on the performance of a candidate in AIEEA-PG, conducted by ICAR, New Delhi
- For GADVASU PhD programme, candidates are selected based on aggregate obtained by a candidate in master's degree followed by a university-level interview round

The tutions fees for this courses are from 75.2k to 1.4 L. Students can score in this exams and can get the cutoof so they can be placed in the college. This score provides 50% eligibility of placing in the college. M.Tech course provides 60% eligibility.
The application forms for GADVASU admission 2023-2024 were released on September 30, 2023. The last date for PG admission is July 4, 2023.
The admission cycle for GADVASU begins in May for all courses. The university offers undergraduate, masters, and Ph.D. programs. Some of the courses offered are:

To be eligible for undergraduate admission, candidates must have:
- A minimum qualification of 10+2 or equivalent
- Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics and English from a recognised Indian Board/University
- At least 50% marks in aggregate excluding the optional subject (s)
The seat intake for B.Tech at GADVASU are 89. Total 89 seats are offered. B.Tech in dairy technology - 57 seats B.Tech in biotechnology - 32 seats
The exams accepted in this course are ICAR, AIEEA. GADVASU has some quotas: Additional seats for sports quota

The admissions at GADVASU are held on the basis of both entrance test and merit basis. Students can visit the official website of the university to acquaint themselves with the course-specific details. For admissions into the BVSc & AH course, students must appear for the NEET-UG exam. For several other courses like BTech, BFSc, etc., students can obtain GADVASU admissions by passing their HSC with PCM/PCB.
