The best branch in BTech at IIST is a matter of personal preference, but the most popular branches are Aerospace Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering.Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) offers only two BTech courses: Aerospace Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering (Avionics). Both courses are highly specialised and focused on space Science and technology. Students who are interested in aeronautics and space Science can choose Aerospace Engineering, while those who are interested in communication systems and electronics can choose Avionics. Both courses have good placement records, and students have received placement opportunities from organizations such as BEL Bengaluru, LEOS Bengaluru, ISAC Bengaluru, LPSC Valiamala, and VSSC Thiruvananthapuram.
